What's up Duke Nation?! My name is Clint Mayo, and I'm the newest writer for your site. I'm going to be keeping current on Duke basketball recruiting and prospects. This is my first post on Blue Devils Digest, and it's all about the upcoming weekend.

As you all know, tomorrow night is Duke's Midnight Madness which is also known as ‘Countdown to Craziness’. CTC is usually a huge recruiting weekend for Duke, and this year is no different. Last year, Duke had Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, Theo Pinson, Harry Giles and Karl Towns Jr. on campus for the event. With a list like that, there was a lot to live up to this year, and CTC is definitely going to live up to expectations.

Duke will have 2016 targets Thon Maker, Seventh Woods and Ty Graves on campus for the event. Thon Maker is a 7 foot post player from Carlisle School in Martinsville, Virginia. Maker is a top 5 prospect in the class and will be on Duke's radar for the remainder of his recruitment. Seventh Woods is a 6 foot 2 combo guard out of Columbia, South Carolina and goes to Hammond School. Woods is another top 20 player in his class and might possibly be the most athletic player in the class. Don't be surprised if his rankings rise even higher by his senior year. Ty Graves is a point guard standing at 5 foot 11 that can shoot the lights out of the ball. Ty is a more local kid out of Page High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Already with a 6 foot 3 wingspan, expect his height and recruitment to get bigger and bigger with time.

Saturday will be another big recruiting day for Duke as two more recruits visit campus. Kwe Parker and Dennis Smith Jr. are teammates at Trinity Christian School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Both guards stand at 6 foot 2 and can play either guard position. Kwe is currently a top 100 recruit, and Dennis is beginning to see his stock rise.

With all these top players on campus, this weekend is definitely a big couple of days for Duke recruiting. Don't expect a commitment from anyone this early, but definitely believe that Duke will chase after these guys for the next couple years or so. Harry Giles currently holds the only offer in the 2016 class, but don't be surprised if at least one of these guys gets an offer pretty soon.

Thank you to everyone who read my first post. It's definitely one of many more to come. I plan on doing a Q&A post pretty soon, so send any Duke recruiting questions you have to my twitter account (ctmayo90). I’ll be sure to include them in that post. I will be at Duke tomorrow for Countdown to Craziness, so feel free to send any questions you have regarding that, also.
