This is the fifth part of a six part series in which Thomas Eames, Jason Morrow, Brian Horace (Duke Blogger), and Randy Dunson (Duke Blogger) go through and predict who will win each Duke basketball game. We will all individually predict each game and show you where we think Duke will be at the end of the year.
March 5: Duke at Wake Forest
Duke 4. Wake Forest: 0.
Duke: This will be a sneakily tough game for Duke. It comes off a long break which may cause some rust and it’s before a UNC game and the postseason. Underrated Wake Forest big, Devin Thomas, will give Duke some trouble in thus game. This game will be closer then people think, but I still expect Duke to win a valuable road game going into the postseason.
Duke: Much like the first Wake Forest game, the youthful Demon Deacons will go on a run or two but once Duke gets out to a lead there will be no coming back. Duke wins big again.
Duke: Please refer to February. Duke (85-70).
March 8: North Carolina at Duke
Duke: 4. UNC: 0.
Duke: I just do not see how UNC will be able to beat Duke this year and it will not change at Cameron. While PJ Hairston and James McAdoo will give Duke some trouble, I expect Duke to beat them with a more spread out scoring attack. UNC may make a run, but Duke will send off their seniors on an amazing senior night.
Duke: Duke will put it all together in this one on senior night and send Josh Hairston, Tyler Thornton, Todd Zafirovski and Andre Dawkins out in style. Duke wins big.
Duke: Please refer to February. Duke (88-65).
